Confirmations

When Dogecoin settlement ships, Plaidly will require 6 block confirmations before marking a payment confirmed. At ~1 minute per block this is approximately 6 minutes.

For low-value payments, you may accept confirming status (1 confirmation, ~1 minute) at your own risk.

Fees

Dogecoin fees are extremely low (typically 1 DOGE, currently under $0.20). This makes it practical for large volumes of small payments.

Notes

  • Dogecoin is a Bitcoin fork (Litecoin code base) with ~1 minute block times
  • No stablecoin or token support — DOGE only
  • UTXO model (same as Bitcoin and Litecoin)
  • Dogecoin has no supply cap — ~14.4 billion DOGE minted per year
  • Strong merchant recognition due to cultural prominence
  • Plaidly generates unique receiving addresses per session
