Confirmations
When Optimism settlement ships, Plaidly will require 10 block confirmations before marking a payment confirmed. At ~2 seconds per block this is approximately 20 seconds. Full L1 settlement takes ~2 minutes.
Fees
Optimism fees are very low (typically $0.001–$0.05 per transaction). ETH is required for gas — Plaidly's receiving wallets are pre-funded.

Address format
Optimism uses the same address format as Ethereum:

- Optimism is an OP Stack Optimistic Rollup — the same stack used by Base, Mode, and others
- USDC on Optimism: use native USDC (
0x0b2C...) not bridged USDC.e - Optimism has a ~7-day withdrawal window to Ethereum mainnet
- OP token is used for governance, not gas
- Part of the Superchain vision — interoperable with other OP Stack chains
